Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need my iPhone with me to use ScorePadel?
No. ScorePadel is a standalone Apple Watch app. You can leave your iPhone at home and the app works independently.
Why does the app ask for HealthKit permissions?
ScorePadel records your matches as workouts in Apple Health, tracking your playing time and calories burned. This data stays on your device and is never shared with anyone.
Can I undo a wrong tap?
Yes. An undo button appears in the top-left corner of the scoring screen whenever there's a point to step back. Tap it to reverse the last point scored.
Does the app track my location or upload my data?
No. ScorePadel doesn't track your location, has no analytics, and doesn't upload any data. Everything stays on your Apple Watch and in Apple Health on your device.
Can I use this for tennis scoring too?
Yes. Padel uses the same scoring system as tennis, so ScorePadel works perfectly for tennis matches.
Does ScorePadel require a subscription?
No. ScorePadel is a one-time purchase with no subscription, no ads, and no in-app purchases.
How do I delete a match from my history?
Matches can't currently be deleted from within the app. If you need to manage your history, you can delete the corresponding workout from the Apple Health app on your iPhone.
What Apple Watch models are supported?
ScorePadel requires watchOS 10.0 or higher, which runs on Apple Watch Series 4 and later.
The app isn't recording my workout to Apple Health. What should I do?
Check that ScorePadel has the correct permissions:
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone
- Go to Privacy > Health
- Make sure ScorePadel has permission to write workout data
- Try ending and restarting a match
How accurate is the calorie tracking?
Calorie calculations come from your Apple Watch's heart rate monitoring and activity tracking. Accuracy depends on how well your watch fits and your personal health data in Apple Health.
Troubleshooting
The app crashes when I open it
Try restarting your Apple Watch by holding the side button until "Power Off" appears, then turn it back on.
I can't see the workout recording indicator
Make sure you've granted HealthKit permissions. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > ScorePadel on your iPhone and enable all permissions.
My matches aren't appearing in History
Make sure you tap End Game to save the match. If you force-quit the app or the watch restarts mid-match, the current match may not be saved.
